Village Fete 2017

24th June 2017 is the date, folks, so put it in your diary now.

All and any assistance either before the fete or on the day is very much appreciated and we couldn’t do it without you. The next meeting is on 5th April at the Blue Ball in Asheridge.

Anyone with raffle prizes to donate, please send details to fete@bellingdon.com.

If you’d like a stall, or to advertise in the programme, please let us know on the above email address as soon as you can to avoid missing out.

Community book swap

We launched the community book swap at the well-attended pub night on Friday. Any hall user is welcome to borrow a book then swap it for another once they’ve finished it.

The books are located in blue wheeled trolleys in the corner of the hall close to the emergency exit out to the playground.

Litter pick

Despite a slightly disappointing turnout a band of hardy volunteers braved the chilly wind to scour the village for litter.

We collected a good (or bad, depending on your viewpoint) amount but veterans of previous years noted there was less to collect, which bodes well.
The next working party will be a couple of weekends before the village fete in June.

Great British Spring Clean aka village litter pick – 19th March

While most of the country is doing this on March 3-5th, we chose a slightly later date in the hope that it will be a bit warmer. The idea is to blitz as much of the village as we can and do our bit to make it all a bit more pleasant.

Clearly not dropping litter in the first place would also help…

Join us from 9:30am at the Village Hall, wearing suitable clothing and footwear, high visibility if you have it and protective gloves. Bacon sarnies provided at the end.
