The latest issue of the village newsletter is now out. We hope you enjoy it. We’d love to hear any news you’d like to share with the village – please email newsletter@bellingdon.com if you have anything you’d like us to feature in the June edition. We also have a monthly e-news if you can’t wait until the next print newsletter.
The Chiltern Community Forum is due to meet on 20th February, 6-30pm at Chalfont St Peter Parish Council Offices. All are welcome. To help us decide on what the policing priorities should be for the next three months, I invite you complete the attached survey before 14th February.

Tackling Crime In Buckinghamshire Survey
The agencies who work together in Buckinghamshire to tackle crime and protect vulnerable people (e.g. councils, police, probation, voluntary services) want your views on the four top priorities following our consultation in 2018. We are keen to know if these are still important or if there should be new or amended priorities.
A short survey has been created to hear your views which can be completed at https://www.research.net/r/safetyinbucks .It takes less than 5 minutes to complete and there is an optional space at the end for you to provide any comments or thoughts, in your own words.
The survey will close on Friday 15 February.
Last year over 890 people from various age ranges responded from all over the county. We would like to hear from even more people than last year so that we are even better informed.

Current position/forecast regarding potential snowfall in Buckinghamshire today is as follows:
Snow this morning is unlikely. Rain is forecast from lunchtime which may impact our treatment of secondary routes (good salt levels already down on primaries). Temperatures will drop during this rain which is forecast to turn to sleet at around 5pm and then snow at 7pm which will continue through the evening. Levels and intensities are still somewhat unpredictable.
We’re keeping a close eye on Thursday’s forecast which shows potential for some significant snow, but may change.
Gritter operators will be busy throughout the week. Shift patterns of drivers and depot staff have been adjusted to accommodate.
The main risk at present is that sleet and snow starts to come in a little faster than forecast, which could mean snowfall during an early rush hour combined with school run, impacting our ability to maintain the network.
Keep a close eye on forecasts and conditions and ensure today’s journey home is completed prior to snowfall wherever possible.
If you haven’t yet come across them, this is a (usually) quite accurate Chilterns-based weather forecasting service. Worth a follow if you’re on Facebook.
