St John’s Bellingdon – Sunday Service 25th October 2020

Dear all

It’s Saturday again and so time to upload our service for St John’s Bellingdon for Sunday 25th October onto YouTube.

Once again we’ve filmed most of it in church and continued with the words and images together – and we’ve stayed with the slightly different angle so that you can still see the flowers and the communion table.

This week our Psalm is Psalm 27 and readings are Isaiah 59:9-20 and Luke 14:1-34 and they are read by Chris Emery with Linda leading the intercessions both recorded in church building! And Edward Bowes-Smith is preaching!

It is on the Parish YouTube channel as usual – and this link should take you there https://youtu.be/lguy4BBsVsQ but it’s in the same place as usual and you’ve lots of experience now of online services!

As before the service is available after 09.45 tomorrow when it goes public (and live)!

I’ve attached the notice sheets for St Mary’s and the Parish.

It was really good to meet with some of you last Sunday for our short service – the next one will be on 8th November – Remembrance Sunday – more details nearer the time.

With prayers and best wishes to you all

Tim

Did You Know That You Can Report Rural Crimes Online?

Rural crime is an issue for large areas of the Thames Valley and we know that it can have a huge impact on our rural communities.

However, these crimes tend to go unreported.

We’re reaching out to our rural communities and encouraging you to report anything you’ve seen, however big or small, which can help us tackle agricultural, equine, wildlife and heritage crime.

Did you know that you can report a crime in your area, or pass on any information that you may have, on our website?

It’s quick and easy to do and it can be done whenever is most convenient for you.

After all, you know your community best and you’re most likely to know when something doesn’t feel right.

Whether it’s something suspicious you’ve spotted in your local area or something you’ve overheard which may point to organised crime, we want to hear about it.

It can sometimes be difficult to know whether something that you’ve seen is a crime and whether you should get in touch. But we’d encourage you to contact us, as we can use this information to build a better picture and to target our resources effectively.

By working together, we can prevent opportunistic and organised crimes taking place in our communities.

If you see something, report it on our website: https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/ro/report/ocr/af/how-to-report-a-crime/

St John’s Bellingdon – Sunday Service 18th October 2020

Dear all,

It’s Saturday again and so time to upload our service for St John’s Bellingdon for Sunday 18th October onto YouTube.

Once again we’ve filmed most of it in church and continued with the words and images together – and we’ve stayed with the slightly different angle so that you can still see the flowers and the communion table.

This week our Psalm is Psalm 96 and readings are 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10 and Matthew 22:15-22 and they are read by Chris Davies with Marjorie leading the intercessions.

It is on the Parish YouTube channel as usual – and this link should take you there

but it’s in the same place as usual and you’ve lots of experience now of on line services!

As before the service is available after 09.45 tomorrow when it goes public (and live)!

I’ve attached the notice sheets for St Mary’s and the Parish.

It was really good to meet with some of you ‘online’ on Wednesday to talk about the weeks up to Christmas and I’m pleased you found the talk about the ‘Captain of Captain’s Wood’ interesting!

We’re still collecting food for Food Bank – there’s a reminder in the service.

With prayers and best wishes to you all

Tim
