Due to the developing situation and latest advice regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus), waste services are currently operating with a reduced number of staff across Chiltern, Wycombe and South Bucks.
We have put together some advice for residents, which we would be very grateful if you could share throughout your community networks.
We are pleased to confirm that the recycling collection service has been reinstated in Chiltern and Wycombe from Monday 30th March. However, we will be unable to return for any collections that were due last week.
To enable recycling collections, the weekly food waste collection service is temporarily suspended; residents should dispose of their food waste in their general rubbish bin as a temporary measure.
Garden waste is still suspended in Chiltern and Wycombe and in South Bucks.
The most up to date information is available on the Council’s websites and social media. However, we would be extremely grateful if you could share this information with friends, family and/or colleagues who may not have easy access to our webpages.

Food waste should be put into your general rubbish bin, which will be collected on your usual general rubbish collection day.
To help reduce waste put in the general rubbish bin, you can home compost: fruit and vegetable peelings, seeds and cores; egg shells; tea bags; coffee grounds and filter paper; paper towels or tissues (not if they have touched meat).
You cannot compost: cooked food, fish, meat or dairy products (these must be put in your general rubbish bin).
To find out more about home-composting visit: https://www.recycleforbuckinghamshire.co.uk/reduce-your-waste/home-composting/, you can also get a discounted home compost bin via www.getcomposting.com

Obviously due to the current movement restrictions nobody is able to attend church in person – so by the magic of technology the Church can come to you. We’ll try to have this week’s service up by Saturday.
The service is open to all, even if you’re not a regular church attendee.
This link should take you there https://youtu.be/ksXE9zpc400

For those with internet-linked televisions you should be able to watch it there and (at present) find it by searching (but we may make it private so that it can’t be found by searching – but the link should work!).
The plan was to follow the service at 10.00 on Sunday – but of course you can be flexible.
With prayer and best wishes to all,
Tim Yates, Minister of St John’s Bellingdon

With a heavy heart we have to temporarily close the children’s playground at the hall, following the Prime Minister’s annoucements last night.
The recreation ground will still be open for people to take their daily exercise if they wish, but please remember to stay 2m away from anyone who is not a resident in your household.
We’re closing the car park to discourage gatherings. If driving to the hall is your only way of getting there safely, please park on the section between the gate and the road, there is room for 2-3 cars parked sensibly.
As always please be considerate. We’re facing an unprecedented peacetime situation and its developing rapidly.

Owing to the current coronavirus situation, the Village Hall Trustees have taken the decision to close the hall for the foreseeable future. We will post further updates as the situation develops and once we have a reopening date. Any confirmed and paid bookings will be fully refunded, including deposits.
The hall will be there when this is all over and we’re doing our best to help those in need during the current situation. If you need any assistance with shopping etc because you’re self isolating please see our poster below and get in touch. If you can help with the effort please also get in touch.
Stay safe and we’ll see you on the other side 🙂 With bunting.
