We’re giving you the opportunity to bring your classic car or motorbike to the fete for all to admire. We are hoping for a great display during the afternoon to entertain the public.
The fete starts at 1pm. Please arrive from 12.30pm. To book your slot email fete@bellingdon.com #classiccars #classicmotorbikes #villagefete
Each year we’re overwhelmed by the generosity of our residents who provide beautiful cakes for our cake stall, which runs throughout the afternoon from inside the hall. A perfect break from all that welly wanging (other activities are available)!
For 2022 we’ve decided to introduce a cake decorating competition with a 👑 Platinum Jubilee👑 theme.
Please bring your Jubilee-themed cakes to the hall on the morning of the fete (by 12 noon at the latest) and we’ll judge them and take their photos before releasing them to the cake stall for everyone to enjoy!
We are very happy to accept “undecorated” cakes for the stall so please don’t let the competition put you off baking!
We are pleased to welcome Patchwork Training who are running our Fun Dog Show.
There will be seven classes to enter during the afternoon ranging from Prettiest Bitch, Best Veteran through to Best Puppy and Best Trick. A nominal entry fee gives you the chance of winning Rosettes for best placed entrants.
In addition Patchwork Training will be putting on some demonstrations during the afternoon. Come along and get your dog to strut their stuff! Registration from 12.30pm on the day.
We’re so grateful to our sponsors for enabling these classes to go ahead:
Rosettes and gift prizes donated by St. Johns Vets for 1st to 3rd place in each class. The full schedule is as follows:
1:30 Prettiest Bitch
1:45 Most Handsome Boy Sponsor: The Frost Partnership

We very much hope that you’ll come and support the return of our village fete for the first time since 2019. We’re committed to giving back to our community as well as fundraising for the upkeep of the hall, this year we’re supporting two local charities – the Chiltern Foodbank and the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.
At present 20% of the population live below the poverty line and this throws into sharp focus the work of the Chiltern Foodbank, who through the efforts of their committed volunteers try to ensure those most in need do not go hungry.
The Chiltern Foodbank, now in its tenth year of operations, aims to provide help where it’s needed most in the form of emergency food parcels delivered directly to people in the Chiltern and Wendover Districts.
Chilterns Dog Rescue Society, a local independent Rescue and Rehoming centre, was founded in 1963 and has rehomed tens of thousands of dogs in the local area.
In 2017 the society moved into their first dedicated home – a purpose-built rescue centre in Chivery, near Tring. Through the launch of their new location, Chilterns Dog Rescue Society can now provide veterinary care and specialist training to dogs that need it the most.
You can read more about the Chiltern Foodbank and the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society in our Fete Programme, which you should have received from our doorknock volunteers this week. If they missed you, please feel free to pick up a copy of the programme on the day.
