COVID Vaccination for the first priority groups – 80+

We’ve been advised that Chesham surgeries are going to have allocated days at Chesham Town Hall in order to administer vaccines to their first priority group patients.

Information from each surgery’s website is below. Please check the relevant website listed for the latest info.

If you know of someone over 80 (82 for New Surgery, see below) please do make sure they’ve been contacted or made contact – the surgeries are trying to text or ring everyone.

Watermeadow Surgery

COVID update 6 January: We are getting a small supply of 400 vaccines; this will be for patients aged over 80 only – NO exceptions.

We are sending text invites to this group, but many do not have a mobile. We are trying to call them, but it is taking a long time. If you know someone who is in this group please encourage them to call us. Please ask them to be patient if the line is engaged as we are getting lots of calls.

The surgery will run a very limited ‘urgent only’ service next Thursday as all our nurses and some of our doctors will be working to provide the vaccine at Chesham Town Hall. For more information about the COVID vaccine visit our website at  watermeadowsurgery.co.uk where there is a video explain what will happen on the day

COVID 19 VACCINATION

The New Surgery is holding a clinic at Chesham Town Hall on Wednesday 13th January for patients aged 82 years and older (we do not yet have enough vaccine for ages 80 and 81 years).  We are calling patients to invite them, but if you fall into this group and have not yet been invited, please call the surgery to make an appointment.

All other priority groups and ages – we will contact you when we have more vaccine supplied to us and can move on to other priority groups. Thank you.

REMINDER: please check that your home and mobile telephone numbers are correct in your online account so that we may easily contact you with an appointment.  You can also use the “About You” link in the Online Services page to correct any information you think may be out of date.

COVID 19 Vaccinations

We are aware some patients are keen to have the vaccination but please do not telephone the surgery as you will be contacted when they are available to you.
