Ramscote Lane closed – parking

As you may have noticed, Ramscote Lane will be closed for three days at the end of September.

The team at St John’s Church has kindly offered use of the church car park for any resident who would prefer not to leave their car on the road during this time.

Please do not block the gate leading to the field behind the church though.

St John’s Bellingdon – Sunday Service 20th September 2020

Dear all

It’s Saturday again and so time to upload our the service for St John’s Bellingdon for Sunday 20th September onto YouTube.

This week we’re still with our usual format of Morning Worship with a single video. Once again we’ve filmed most of it in church and continued with the words and images together.

This week our Psalm is Psalm 104 verses 21-35 and readings are Philippians 1:21-end and Matthew 20:1-16 and they are read by Chris Emery with Linda leading our intercessions.

It is on the Parish YouTube channel as usual – and this link should take you there https://youtu.be/8rgQLJ1deR4 but it should be in the same place as usual and you’ve lots of experience now of on line services!

As before the service is available after 09.45 tomorrow when it goes public (and live)!

I’ve attached the notice sheets for St Mary’s and the Parish.

As a note this service marks 6 months of on line services! And here is the link to the first – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksXE9zpc400&feature=youtu.be – hopefully you’ll agree we seem to have progressed!

And two more notices – we need to hold an annual meeting in the next month of so – but it will need to be on line (using Zoom) ! Should only be short ! And last evening gave a talk to the Chess Valley Archaeological and Historical Society (their first on line) on ‘Who was the Captain of Captain’s Wood?’ and I could give this after our annual meeting if you’re interested.

With prayers and best wishes to you all

Tim

Chiltern Community Forum Meeting Weds 23rd Sept

The Chiltern Community Forum meets every three months and is an opportunity for local residents to hear from and ask questions to the Police Team in our area. The team is led by Inspector Richard Vine who always provides a very interesting report and is always keen to explain what the police have been involved with and answer any questions residents have. Additionally, this time Deputy police Commissioner for the Thames Valley Police area will also talking and answering questions.

The next meeting is on Wednesday 23rd Sept at 6-30pm and is being held by video conference technology. The email address to request a link to attend is contact@chilterncommunityforum.org

Please complete the short residents survey
One important activity at the meeting is to discuss and agree three policing priorities for the next three months. To help with this a resident’s survey is done just in advance so there is information on residents’ concerns about crime in their area. It is important the results also reflect the concerns of those living in rural communities, so can I encourage you to complete the survey which takes only a few moments via this link https://www.chilterncommunityforum.org/meetings/forum-23rd-september-2020/
